Washington
Youth Tour
"I can not put into words
what this trip meant to me. I came back a better person than when I left.
I laughed, I cried, I learned, I grew. It was the most amazing week of
my life. Thank you for this opportunity." - Catherine, Dublin, Ga.
Once a year, high school students
are selected by the electric cooperatives in Georgia to represent our
state as delegates on the Washington Youth Tour.
The
next Washington Youth Tour will be held June 11-18, 2009.
You could join more than 100 Georgia
participants and meet students from 44 states – all expenses
paid – during this incredible week in our nation’s capital. A
fast-paced, up-close, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see with your
own eyes the sites and people at the center of our government.
More info about the Washington
Youth Tour can be found at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association's
Youth Tour site.
