At Georgia EMC

Georgia EMC is part of a network of cooperatives that provides electricity to half the state’s population. The areas our cooperatives serve are still growing – and the demand for electricity is following suit.

We are the statewide trade association that provides essential programs and services to support Georgia’s 42 electric membership corporations, Georgia System Operations Corp., Georgia Transmission Corp. and Oglethorpe Power Corp. as they serve Georgia’s energy needs both today and tomorrow.

Georgia EMC employs close to 50 men and women, with offices in three Atlanta-area locations:

  • Midtown Atlanta: Government Relations and Community & Economic Development
  • Tucker: President/CEO, Communication & Member Services, Finance & Administration and GEORGIA Magazine.
  • Smarr: Training Center; Training, Education & Safety

The work we do is challenging and rewarding, with an ever-present focus on delivering outstanding service to our members. We offer a work environment that values the contribution of each and every employee. We actively support work/life balance for our people and provide competitive salaries and benefits.

Georgia EMC also values service to the community and many of the programs we support through the EMCs contribute to the educational and economic vibrancy of Georgia’s communities.

At Georgia’s 42 Local EMCs

You’ll find direct contact information for each of Georgia’s EMCs here.
